Desiree (Elbert/Doris/Romayne) is currently undergoing treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  She has recently undergone a very heavy dose of chemo and is currently having her blood drawn daily so they can harvest stem cells from her.  When the magical number of stem cells are harvested, she will get to go home for about 10 days.  She will then have to be hospitalized for a minimum of 21 days, while undergoing heavy chemo again, and they will totally kill all her cells in her body, good and bad, and then implant the stem cells they harvested back into her system.  Doctors are hoping this procedure will be successful.
