Alice Melba Wheat was born on August 2, 1906 in Brown Co., Texas and died April 29, 1931. She
was the daughter of James Syrus Wheat and Rose Anna Hulsey. She married James
Elbert Scott on December 24, 1923. They had four boys: Elbert Newton, James Delbert, Bryan Lee
and Charles Rudolph.
Alice was the 3rd child out of eight in her family. Her siblings were: Floyd, Virgie,
Ada, Stella, Claud, Helen and Oscar.

on Alice, since she died so young. Please feel free to download & print the documents. The
Ancestors document is only about 10 pages long, however the Descendents one is 101 pages long. I received the information
on the Wheats from another descendent of them, a Mr. Al Wetsel. His great-grandmother
was Mittie Ann Wheat, who was Syrus's older sister. Many thanks to Al
